Our Story
ReadyCamp Ireland began the same way many camping stories do — with a desire to travel, explore and spend more time outdoors without spending a fortune.
Before we had children, we discovered camping while travelling through Croatia. We packed basic tents, limited equipment and plenty of enthusiasm. The setup wasn’t glamorous, but the freedom and adventure were unforgettable.
As a newly married couple living in London, we continued camping regularly and gradually upgraded our equipment. Along the way, we learned that there is often a big difference between simply camping and camping comfortably.
When our children arrived, camping became even more important to us. It gave us a chance to disconnect from screens, spend quality time together and create lasting family memories. Over time, we invested in better equipment and discovered how much premium gear can transform the experience through better sleep, easier setup and greater comfort.
Yet despite owning quality equipment, one thing never changed: the amount of effort required before and after every trip.
Storage, transport, maintenance and drying equipment often felt like a project in themselves.
That experience ultimately led us to create ReadyCamp.
Try Before You Buy
One of the biggest influences on our business was our own hesitation before investing in premium camping equipment.
Quality family tents and camping furniture are significant purchases. Marketing brochures can tell you a lot, but they can’t tell you how well you’ll sleep in a blackout bedroom or how much easier an air-beam tent is to pitch compared with a traditional pole tent.
